⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Montecristo Espada Signature Valiente (6×55) – Limited Edition Rating: 4/5 Smoked: August 2025 Smoke time: 2 hours Reviewer: Sky B First Impressions: Right out of the gate, this cigar had a very airy, loose draw more open than I’m used to. While it burned clean and cool, the loose draw did thin out some of the early flavor intensity. That said, construction held beautifully throughout, and the gold foot band and wrapper presentation were absolutely stunning. This cigar is dressed like royalty. First Third: Started with roasted nuts, creamy cedar smoke, and a touch of soft wood, balanced with a layer of dry cocoa. Not explosive, but definitely elegant. The texture of the smoke was smooth and refined. No harshness, no pepper blast just a gentle, classy intro. Second Third: This is where things began to deepen. The cocoa evolved into dark chocolate especially on the retrohails, and a new note of charred oak arrived bringing a slightly smoky edge to the profile. I also picked up on that beautiful, nostalgic “old library wood” note, which was probably my favorite moment of the entire cigar. Smooth, mature, and refined. Super nostalgic. Final Third: A late flourish of flavor appeared in the last third. I picked up on toasted oat, smoked chocolate, and the continuation of that charred oak. Toward the very end, a faint baking spice and soft clove emerged on the retrohail, whispers of warmth that felt like a final nod from the blender. Final Thoughts: This is a cigar that speaks softly but clearly. It doesn’t go on a flavor roller coaster, it glides. If you’re looking for transitions, drama, or surprise twists, this might feel a bit too restrained. But if you enjoy cigars with refinement, warmth, and quiet sophistication, it delivers in spades. I personally prefer a cigar with more movement and complexity, so while this didn’t hit that 5-star “wow” zone for me, I still deeply appreciated what it offered. And I smoked it nearly to the nub, so that says a lot. Would I smoke it again? Yes, on a calm reflective night. Is it box-worthy? If you love creamy Nicaraguan cigars with balance and structure, absolutely. Pairing recommendations for non-alcoholic or alcohol drinkers. Something creamy and warm like a spiced butter beer made with a good quality Irish Red Ale or a good craft root beer that uses cane sugar.
