Enthusiastic couple sharing in the fun: From our first cut to our last draw of the warm nub this was a suprisingly enjoyable “economy” smoke from Oliva. The construction was solid and consistent throughout this cigar with no major issues; only a few minor initial touch ups after lighting but that was probably more from us rushing through the toasting/lighting. The burn was even and slow with a good white-grey ash. We experienced a mellow sweetness from the wrapper on the palate and mild pepper on the retro in the first third that faded into the background as we entered the second third. In the second third we noticed more of a bright cedar note that evolved into a warm rich woodsy note as the cigar progressed. A little spice surprised us when we got into the last third. It had a good finish along with a decent aroma and room note for an economy stick. Solid contender to have on hand as a daily cigar. The only real drawback was a mild bitterness towards the very last of the final third of the cigar.
